Background of Hoggard

Hoggard was incorporated in Jan 2017 by two partners who had considerable knowledge and experience in the field of 3D animation, Visual Art and Graphic Designing. Their initial study frame work was an HND in 3D animation and Visual Effects, and diploma courses in Photoshop for photographs, and Nonlinear Editing and Motion Graphics.

After successfully completing the HND, student can get direct entry to the Final Year Degree Program at University of Lincoln, many other local Universities, and foreign universities Currently Hoggard is making changes to its incorporation to add a new Management, Fine Art faculties in it its scope of education and the new faculties will be ready to provide service as early as Mid-February 2023.

Hoggard processes a fully equipped digital computer laboratory and encourages students to come and work on practice sessions with supervision on at least two days outside their class dates. Currently Hoggard students are working on Sri Lankas first fully animated motion film which will be screened by mid-2023.

Hoggard is now in Blended mode Digital Academy. Students can join with us in any location within the country and do their academic work easily.  

Our Courses

Our courses are developed according to the Sri Lankan Quality Frame Standard (SLQF), governed by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka. All the courses are carried out 1500 notional credit hours per year, and course credits are contained beyond the minimum HND SLQF standard.
